SASI is a labor of love for us as scholars and professionals who are originally from India and are interested in promoting the indigenous peoples’ knowledge, skills and resources of one of the world’s great civilizations. South Asian cultures are known for their diversity in terms of religions, beliefs, languages, cuisine, clothing, dance and music, among others.
We at SASI are interested in promoting the unique art, culture and product designs from the indigenous people of South Asia, by providing access to capital and markets. Our efforts are to empower, train, organize workshops and broaden their visibility.
